When you install Lifie and sign up as a registered user, Lifie collects personal data from you such as your email address, name, height, weight, age and gender.
As you continue using the Lifie, your personal data regarding the application usage such as foods and exercises logged, health and fitness goals, meal plan, physical activity information and body measurements are also collected to improve your performance and provide tailored recommendations for you.
We value your privacy and will only process your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and releavant laws and regulations.
In order to offer you the best service available, we process your personal data:
You can opt-in to share your Steps and Active Energy information via Apple HealthKit API. This information will be solely used to accurately calculate the burned calories throughout the day with the aim of providing proper health and fitness recommendations.
Lifie works together with dietitians, nutritionists and other health and fitness professionals in order to offer you best practices with regard to your health. Beyond, Lifie analyzes your usage of the in-app features and services provided in order to continuously improve the experience and performance of the users towards achieving their health goals. In this regard, Lifie will process certain application usage data within the framework of user profiling. However, the data collected and processed in this regard is anonymous and will not be linked to your personal information.
Third parties will not have access to your data for any other purpose than for Lifie to reach new customers in marketing platforms.
The profiling of your data does not require any consent as a legal ground to be processed. If this should be the case under relevant personal data regulation, you hereby give your consent to Lifie using your personal data as defined above for user profiling for the purpose of improving the experience and performance of the users towards achieving their health goals.
Lifie may use your personal data for profiling and marketing purposes via emails and push notifications. However, no third parties will be allowed to access your data for marketing purposes. No personal data will be transferred to third parties for marketing purposes.
The use of personal data for marketing purposes will only concern personal offers that have a close relation to your use of the services provided by Lifie. These marketing offers will be sent to you by Lifie. This processing is based on a legitimate interest, on our side the interest to offer you the best possible service, on your side the possibility to be offered relevant products and services relevant to your use of the services. This does not require your consent. If this should be the case under relevant personal data regulation, you hereby give your consent to us using your personal data as defined above.
In case you do not want Lifie to use your personal data for the purpose of marketing as described above, you may at any time unsubscribe from any further marketing messages by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of such messages, or by using relevant opt-out features available in the settings of Lifie.
You have the right to request access to or erasure of your personal data processed by Lifie. Please contact us via support@lifieapp.com for your requests. Alternatively, you can also delete all your personal data by deleting your account within the application.
Except where you delete your account permanently, request erasure of the relevant personal data, or opt out from processing relating to marketing, Lifie stores and processes your personal data for as long as you are a registered user of Lifie. We will stop storing and processing your personal data if your account/registration is terminated, if you request erasure of your personal data, or opt out from marketing, unless it is necessary for us under legal requirements to store or process the relevant personal data for a longer time.
Personal data collected from you may be shared with third-party providers of Lifie that process personal data on behalf of Lifie; such as database service providers, data storage providers, data analytics providers, customer support and relationship systems. These service providers will be considered processors of your personal data.
Some of your personal data may be transferred to and processed by processors, as described above, that are established in the United States or other countries (some of which will be outside the EEA). We may also transfer your personal data in the event that our business (or part of it) is sold, for instance as part of a merger or acquisition. Lifie will always apply safeguards to protect your personal data from unauthorized disclosure. In case of transfer of data to third parties that are outside of the EU or EEA and that do not offer an adequate level of data protection, Lifie will apply the EU Commission’s model clauses and/or binding corporate rules, or similar instruments/mechanism, for the safeguarding of integrity and security.
Lifie will not transfer your personal data to third parties with the right for such parties to use the data other than on behalf of Lifie as described above.
Lifie may further disclose your personal data in order to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation, if required by law, regulation or other legislation, or in order to protect and defend Lifie's or users’ rights and interests, subject always to relevant applicable personal data regulation.

The security of your personal data are of great importance to Lifie. In addition to complying with applicable relevant personal data regulations, we exercise and use state of the art standards and technologies such as firewalls, security software, etc., in order to protect your personal data and to prevent any unauthorized and unauthenticated access. However, no system can be 100% secure, and despite our efforts, there is always a risk of unauthorized access to your personal data. By using Lifie, you assume this risk.
We also urge you to use a unique and strong password when you sign up or to use Apple Login procedure. You should further limit access to your mobile phone or log out after having used Lifie.
If you are under age 13, you are not allowed to submit any personal data through Lifie. Further, we encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s mobile use and to help us in enforcing our Privacy Policy by instructing their children to never provide any personal data through Lifie without their permission. If you become aware that a child under the age of 13 has submitted personal data to us, please contact us at support@lifieapp.com for quick and proper action.
We reserve the right to update and/or change this Privacy Policy at any time. We urge you to review this Privacy Policy frequently, and especially before you register an account with us.
We will communicate with you by email and mobile push notifications. If you do not wish to receive push notifications on your mobile device, you can always turn off this from the settings of your mobile phone or opt-out from Reminders within the application. Please be aware that opting out from the reminder notifications may degrade your in-app experience. Further be aware that if you unsubscribe from our mailing list you will still be receiving answers to your questions sent to our support but you will not be receiving promotional emails.
